The Best Since Achtung Baby!

I am quite surprised at all the negative reviews on here. One reviewer hit the nail on the head in saying: Like Achtung Baby, HTDAAB takes several listens before it's sheer brilliance really hits you. This album is nothing short of magnificant. After disappointments of POP (although it's finally growing on me) and ATYCLB, it is great that U2 has released a new powerhouse record, full of great music, beautiful ballads, and well-written lyrics. Songs like "Miracle Drug", "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own", "One Step Closer", "Original of the Species", and "Yahweh" are some of the most beautiful songs this group has put out. Throw in "Vertigo", "Love and Peace or Else", "Crumbs From Your Table" and "City of Blinding Lights", and you've got one heck of a fantastic album. The only song I don't really care for is "A Man and a Woman". Other than that, I rank this album right up there with "The Joshua Tree", "Achtung Baby" and "Zooropa" as a true masterpiece.

Like "Achtung Baby" and "Zooropa", this one took a while to grow on me, so give it a chance.
