Technical But Nothing U2 Fans Ultimately Couldn't Appreciate

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
Not by any means an album to compare with U2's more popular/respected musical achievements over the decades. Any event, 5-6 memorable songs definitely make this CD not anything to pass up. Discotheque, Gone, Staring At The Sun, Last Night On Earth (better having deserved a greatest hit inclusion) and ?If God Will Send His Angels, Please? all classify this effort a good attempt making available quality tracks. Although other (songs) tend to repeat their format, fans must remember until this time U2 had done little if any experimenting with the techno-production process. Along with similar rock bands, today's digi-pop wouldn't have been an easy transition to tour with saying the least. If you own this CD (or not), you may recently have noticed U2's Best Of 1990-2000 only offers re-mixes of its few chosen tracks. These I feel should best have been left alone. For that reason in particular, would avoid ever swapping this disc at any used CD store for some spare change alternative (fallen for that convenience/regret enough times personally) - then again, I love third-party advice no more than you.
