Uriah Heep

Head First

A better, fresh and rocking post-70's Heep album

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
Some people believe that U. Heep ended after Return to Fantasy album, arguably their last great effort. Yes, there were good songs here and there but overall U. Heep remained more in the past. This album, released early in the 80's, gave us a fresh taste of good-quality, hard-rocking U. Heep that we'd all missed. It still does not compare to, say Demons and Wizards, but it's in a different level. It's more melodic, hard and contemporary. It may be one of the earliest examples of heavy metal getting melodic and easy-to-listen. Just check "Lonely Nights". It's definitely worth the money. My only problem is U.Heep could not keep it up after this CD. Equinox was not bad but after that you have to be a Heep fan to really get hooked.

A GREAT ALBUm, IF YOU KIKE HAIR-METAL

THis is one of the worst Heep albuns. Only the posterior EQUATOR is more commercial and pop. Blergh !!!
