Am I one of the only ones who thought this album wasn't great? I haven't bought it, but I've listened to it several times thinking that I might. I always decide not to. It just seems to have too much of a pop sound. There are definitely some great songs on this album ("Twork it Out," "Can U Help Me," "U Got It Bad"), but not enough. There are also some songs that are pretty mediocre or even bad, like "I Don't Know," "I Can't Let You Go," and "Good 'Ol Ghetto." I find that the songs that are great get old fairly fast because there is not a lot of soul behind them, though they do sound good when you listen to them once in awhile. The whole reason I like R&B so much is for the soulful sound. I didn't find enough of it in this album. I would recommend "My Way," or "Confessions" (Usher's most soulful and best album yet) instead of "8701."
