Usher's third album "8701" (2001) is his best in my opinion. Four years since his last album, and in that time Usher seems to have developed his skills alot more. Fifteen tracks in total. Executive produced by Usher, J. Dupri, A. Reid with beats for some tracks provided by Neptunes. Guest appearances comes from P.Diddy,J.Dupri, Jam & T.Lewis. Album starts with "U Remind Me" an upbeat track thats got an addictive hook, this track blew up on radio, and the attention was well deserved. Favourite track on the album is "U Got It Bad" a deep soulful track, about love, loneliness which has an acoustic guitar background. "I cant Let You Go" uses background rock beats, and has a more then typical agressive Usher. "U dont have to Call" is another track I like. "Can U Help Me" is a sweet love ballad with a beautiful piano driven melody. "How do I say" is a track about a beautiful foreign lady. Album closes well with "U R the One". "8701" is a very nice album, definitely worth having in the collection if you enjoy R&B.
