More intellingent!

First off, Usher has a great voice. No one questions his talent. But some have questioned his staying power or his musical maturation. To them, I say, listen to this. These are intelligent lyrics, very good beats (think Lil Jon on the single, and a couple surprise Jermaine Dupri productions), and an introspective look at the hip-hop culture. Does he talk about sex? Sure. But does he also talk about the perils of sex, of cheating, and of losing love? Yes. Some of my favorite tracks are not the singles but the deep album tracks. In "Truth Hurts," he accuses his lover of cheating but ends the song by saying that he is only accusing her to mask his own wandering heart. In "Simple Things," he sings about the importance of giving attention and love instead of the bling-bling that permeate the songs of so many artists today. A good album; you won't be dissappointed.
