Confessions
Review Score:

(10/10)
Usher was nice enough to let us all in on what happened between he and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, and sold millions of records in the process. Usher's album, "Confessions" is undoubtedly one of the most successful albums of 2004. With a string of hits that include the "Yeah!", "Burn" and "Confessions 2", Usher has truly established himself as an artist. He has made himself a household name. Is he proud:? Yes, he's proud, to say the least.
Usher's album begins with the upbeat party and club song "Yeah!" Then he continues his CD with basically a run-down of why he and Chilli broke up, and he ends his CD with sexual songs and a song for people who have been by his side as he grew as an artist.
The man has talent, no questions asked. This is the first time he attempts to hit higher notes and expand his voice. Based on people I have talked to and articles I have read, the woman love it. "Burn" is a sad song. Many people feel Usher's pain in this song, especially people who have gone though the experience of breaking up with someone you still want to be with. This song best expresses his break up with Chilli. The song was a big hit for 2004 and, along with "Yeah!" and "Confessions 2", it got a lot of airplay. "Burn" explains how one side of Usher wanted to move on, but the other side of him knew he couldn't.
Usher gives his female listeners a treat with the songs "Do it to Me", "Can You Handle It?" and "That's What its Made For". The songs are sexy and were created to put couples in the mood. Usher hits the high notes, moans, talks dirty and croons his female listeners, and they, based on record sales, enjoy every minute of it.
Anyone who buys this CD is sure to find 3 or 4 songs they play, if not the entire album. One may not like the entire album, but the songs that you do like, you'll listen to over and over again. Great way to sell records Usher! 4 Stars
