It is then such a shame that this is the last album Sammy Hagar was a part of Van Halen. Eddie's immaturity and great ego probably forced Sammy out of the group, and their "III'rd" attempt turned out to be a collosal failure. Eddie seemed to regress - he regrew his hair (big mistake) and lost the goatie. He went on the defensive and bad-mouthed Sammy, when he had been the one to spear-head the bands' most popular period. With 5150, VH truly were on their way to becoming a great group, and unfortunately that is over. My only hope is that Sammy goes on in his solo career to eclipse any future VH projects they may attempt with a FOURTH singer. He truly was the brains and telent behind the bands' continued success in the mid 80's.
