Van Halen

Underappreciated but a great album!!!

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (10/10)
"The Seventh Seal" is another great opening track by Van Halen, and Hagar's voice (as occasionally annoying as it is) works perfectly. Eddie's guitar has a different edge in this album than in F.U.C.K., but it is filled with the same lightning fast fret-tapping action as any other VH song. The album said goodbye to Hagar (other than Humans Being), but it is a perfect closer. the lyrics are corny in some songs, but overall the album is all about energy and loudness...somehow, this album made me crank the volume even higher than any other VH album. "Don't Tell Me (What Love Can Do)," "Amsterdam," and "Feelin'" are some of the best tracks, but the real pleaser for me was "Not Enough," one of VH's best power ballads. This album is so underappreciated! Give it a chance people!
