Good songs, but an unnecessary release

Love Van Halen and most, if not all, of these songs are great, but the release of this was unnecessary and in my opinion put together for nothing more than just to milk more money for stuff we already own (just like morons who bought Guns N' Roses "Greatest Hits")

First off, almost all of these songs we already have on The Best of Volume 1 released in late 1996. Now that was a good Greatest Hits package. This one here is essentially the same thing with a few extra live tracks and three new "average at best" studio tracks with Sammy Hagar. I would have thought a new studio album with Hagar to be released given the hype and rumors for the better part of four years surrounding Van Halen, yet we get another greatest hits package.

There will be no follow-up to Best of Volume 1 which now makes that title and release look like a case of leprosy. And even if we do get a Greatest Hits Volume 2, another greatest hits package will just tarnish everything.

We didn't need this, people. And for all of you who have bought this and already own Greatest Hits Voume 1, you basically just wasted your money. The new songs and the live stuff IS NOT worth spending 20 bucks or more on.
