This is the album that Van Halen didn't have the guts to give us when they made that piece of crap Best of Volume 1. I do got to say they did have some pretty good new tracks, but so does this one so if you have to pick between the two, take this one. Sure the first best of may have come with three bonus tracks, one Sammy Hagar and two David Lee Roths, but this one comes with three awesome new Hagar tracks. I am a little disappointed that they didn't release the new tracks from the first best of album because they were really good, but there are definitely improvements:

Pros:

1.Balanced representation: This album is as balanced as possible unlike the first best of album which was heavily Lee Roth stuff. This one gives both eras equal representation even though there are a few more Hagar tracks than Lee Roth tracks, but what you expect, there's 39 songs on this!
2.Cool Cover
3.Great new songs
4.Great live tracks

Cons:
1.There is absolutely no thanks to David Lee Roth anywhere in the album booklet. All it says is:"exit Roth enter Hagar. What happened? Anyway Van Halen..." and when they have their thank you section no one thanks Diamond Dave at all!! Come on, even people in Hagar's solo band get thanked and David Lee Roth gets nothing!?
2.Too booklet emphasis on Hagar.

Overall a great deal, just don't be angry when you read the booklet, cause I warned you.
