This CD made me a Van Halen fan.

This was the very first Van Halen album I bought. I looked at it and noticed it had the song Humans Being on it which was on my Twister soundtrack and thought, hey this could be pretty good.

I took at home and BOOM! I was suddenly a Van Halen fan. There were some songs on here I've heard before like Jump(which had been a childhood favorite of mine)Panama and Dreams that I never even knew Van Halen did.

Now that I own all of their albums, I feel safe to say that I was confused that there were only 17 songs on here. If I were behind it I would've put more on it. You Really Got Me, Jamie's Cryin', Beautiful Girls, Mean Street, Hear About It Later, Pretty Woman, Hot For Teacher, I'll Wait, Love Walks In, Finish What Ya Started, Feels So Good, Black and Blue, Judgement Day, Runaround, Don't Tell Me, Not Enough and Aftershock could all have a place on here. Oh, well hopefully there'll be a Vol. 2 someday but for now I got the other albums to keep me occupied.

This album is also the reason I never got caught up in the whole David Lee Roth v.s. Sammy Hagar thing. They were both on the same disc(yeah!)so I didn't have a major basis for comparison and I'm glad too because I loved them with all the singers(including Cherone).

If you're wondering about Van Halen, this is the perfect place to start. You won't regret it! 10/10
