Better than I expected, but ultimately a little frustrating

The album is a fun listen if you're ready to rock in a not-too-serious fashion. The production is big, reverb-heavy arena rock style. I'd like to hear the band put out some live stuff with a more "intimate" feel and, yes, such things are quite possible even if the band is playing arenas. It's not like they distant mic these live recordings or anything.

The setlist is WAAYYYY too heavy on the For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge album. As in, all but 2/3 songs of the album are played! I know they were supporting that album, but how about a nicer mix of material? And the DLR years are, not too surprisingly, given just a parting glance - just three songs off of only two albums.

The band does play well though. Sammy sounds as good as ever. I'm not his biggest fan, but he delivers on this album. I could've done without the "I want some P***Y!!!!" scream during "Finish What You Started," though. It's great to hear Eddie play and Michael and Alex sound great too.

All in all, a fun album that you can pick up VERY CHEAP used. Go ahead. It's not perhaps what it could have been, but it's good anyway.
