Vanhalen fans have a love for the bands music that goes well beyond liking or disliking one song.One of the best qualities about VH is the quality....That is to say the lack of a weak song in the entire back catalogue,or that is until now!Only a fellow VH fan will understand the torment this release has put me through.I feel like a christian who doubts his faith,but seriously what were they thinking?what a bad album.I remember the first time I heard the album,the way my smile became harder to fake as the tracks played on.The best song is "Without you" and it's the first one so from that point onwards it's a rapid decline towards the likes of "How many say I".If Dave is coming back then what fantastic timing,lets face it none of us will be sad to see Gary Cherone go.He was great with Extreme but makes VH sound dull,drab,boring,worst of all average(forgive me) and just about everthing that VH are not!I don't mean to blame Gary for the album completley but I'm gonna because I love VH.However I still can't wait until the next release,and I guess thats proof that VH are allowed a mistake, after all it is their first as far as I'm concerned.
