Startin From Scratch and Doing It Right

It sure is nice to see the backbone of Gun's'N'Roses jump back to where they should be; away from the downfall of one power happy individual. The past "Appetite for Destruction" was a sure sign of foreshadowing for GNR. I always said that GNR was GNR because of all the members and it was the singer that could be replaced. Velvet Revolver certainly has the vocal talent it needs and Contraband is a great start. Back to the basics and rise up from there. I hope this band can keep it together because this CD is a great one. I have heard people say it sounds alot like GNR, yes it does, because GNR is still together under a different name and this is a second chance for a band that should still be on top. Songs like Slither and Falling to Pieces only proves this band is serious and I absolutely love the name and doesn't Slash have a sound that you can pick out anywhere you go and out of any music on the market today? Buy it, even if it is to keep in touch with the 80's rock era. Enjoy it for what it is worth because Velvet Revolver also has the potential to break out of the 80's and into the year 2000. My opinion.
