I was most likely one of the last people on the planet to buy this album. Since I have over 2600 CD's how in the heck could I have missed this release. Now that the album CONTRABAND is in my hot hands and in my cd player I am having a tuff time getting it out if you know what I mean. I have to say the more I listened to the album the better it got. After listen to the album a 100 times I finally found time to read the lyrics. I was most impressed at messages being presented in songs like DIRTY LITTLE THING. Heaven knows many of us including SCOTT WEILAND understand the message in this song. I very glad to see SCOTT W. realize his talent and their is so much more than floating in the clouds. But, who am I to preach !!!

I believe other songs like HEADSPACE and SPECTACLE are awesome as well. The band showed their talent with the ability to play wide range of heavy and soft rock if I dare say soft rock. Some times I was wondering if it was still listening to VELVET REVOLVER song or had my 20 disc player skip to another band disc. What can we say about the X GUNS & ROSES band members. SLASH, knows how to use his equipment on stage and off as we all know. If GUNS & ROSES band members never played again with a new singer it would be a darn shame. KEEP ME ROCK'IN in my 40's. BIG DOG !!
