Just when you thought rock was dead...

Along came Velvet Revolver. They may single-handedly save the music industry from the horror that is pop music. Or at least I can hope so can't I?! Yes, I was a GNR and a STP fan...and I followed Slash and Duff through solo careers, other projects, and finally to VR. This band honestly showcases their talents, along with Matt, Scott, and Dave, better than anything else since Appetite for Destruction. But it's more than that, you can feel it in the music and especially when you see them live, that they are just having one hell of a time playing rock and roll for their fans again! I've never seen them enjoy it like they are right now. And guys, you haven't experienced VR unless you've seen them live. I've never seen a better concert! Just...WOW!!!
Highlights from the album for me are:
Big Machine--as far as lyrics go, or a message, this is it
Fall to Pieces--I'm not a ballad girl, but you can feel how much Scott put of himself into this one especially
Headspace--one of the two best rock songs on the album..."Living, taking chances isn't all that it's meant to be/Dying, with your face on a t-shirt isn't all that original"
Superhuman--the other best rock song on the album...balls to the wall rock
Slither--best bassline from Duff...that intro is just amazing

All in all, you need this cd. Buy this cd. And especially go see these guys live! NOW!!!!!

Ohhhh...and the crack that one of the reviews took in the editorials about their "low I.Q." only indicates a lack of intelligence on the reviewers part. Hell, Duff was offered a job with Microsoft before they formed VR.
