What more can be said about Venom's "Black Metal" that hasn't been said already instead that it is a stellar classic. If it was not for "Black Metal", bands like Mayhem, Slayer, Abominator and Grave may have never come out. Even the once great Metallica said they use to bang thier heads to Venom.
Anyway, to put it bluntly, if you are a heavy metal fan and you do not own this album you are a poser! You are not hardcore! Once you get it though, you will lose your poser status and become a member of Venom's legions. "Black Metal" is chock full a classic metal with songs like: Leave Me in Hell, Countess Bathory, To Hell and Back, Buried Alive/Raise the Dead and Sacrifice. Trust me on this one. If you are a true metal-head, you need this album.
