(10/10)Before I got this CD, I had only heard the widely played "Blister in the Sun." I had known that the Femmes had a unique folk sound, but I didn't realize how great they were until I stuck this CD into my stereo. Not only did I know "Blister" but I had known "Gone Daddy Gone" and "Jesus Walking on the Water" as well, but not that they were Femmes' works. This compilation gives you the best of this underrated and underplayed band. I now believe the Violent Femmes to be one of the greatest.
