Soulful Sounds of Downey & Shepherd

Five Stars all the way! The reason I bought the CD was due in large part because of Downey's beautiful, soulful voice in the remake of "River." I originally heard the song on "Ally" and was immediately touched and impressed by the sensitivity of Downey's voice. You could hear the pain in his voice, which made the song even more endearing and a bit heartbreaking. I have always been a big fan of this gifted actor, but credit also needs to be given to Vonda whose lovely voice makes the CD a real must have for the Christmas holidays. The rest of the CD features Calista, Lisa and Jane who contribute a bit of lightness and fun to it. Although I truly wish that Downey could have sung more songs, I highly recommend this CD to all who would enjoy a real treat this holiday season. On another note, if Downey's acting career is put on hold, he should explore his other talent by honoring us with his beautiful singing voice. What a sheer talent! Here's praying that he recovers from his illness.
