Whitney Houston returned to the studios and satisfies adequatley with this fabulous collection of funky, hip hop, soulful tunes. Produced by Houston herself and Clive Davis, this emerges as her greatest album since 1990's, I'M YOUR BABY TONIGHT (and is also her first studio album since that release with a string of soundtrack albums being released throughout the 1990's from her movies). Houstons powerful and expressive delivery can be found on every track with the best cuts being the title track, MY LOVE IS YOUR LOVE, the extremley catchy, IT's NOT RIGHT BUT IT's OK, IF I TOLD YOU THAT, IN MY BUSINESS and the Motown sounding, YOU'LL NEVER STAND ALONE which features the classic sound of the harmonica played by the legendary STEVIE WONDER. I LEARNED FROM THE BEST is easily the best ballard of the album but surprisingly its the groovy R and B numbers that takes up most of the album. The album ranges from good to very good and is highly recommended to any soul/r and b fan!!!
