After purchashing her singles from "My Love Is Your Love," I have finally bought the album and it was a listenable experience; a breath of fresh air. And I do mean "fresh." Whitney Houston's first album since "I'm Your Baby Tonight," back in 1990 is definitly what the critics were talking about when it first came out nearly two years ago. She has gone straight R&B, no doubt about it. I think she's gettin jiggy wit it on "It's Not Right But It's Okay," "If I Told You That," and "Heartbreak Hotel." I don't care what anybody says about "When You Believe," her hyped-up duet with Mariah Carey. This track from the movie "The Prince Of Egypt" shows us that soulful divas like Mariah and Whitney still got it after all these years. Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot is there for "In My Business" and "Oh Yes," both songs deal with her spotlight marriage to Bobby Brown. Two Refugees are there too: Wyclef Jean did the title cut(which I love the best) and Lauryn Hill uncredited on "I Was Made To Love Him." That is the hidden track on the CD. Babyface is back as well on "When You Believe," "Until You Come Back," "I Bow Out," and "You'll Never Stand Alone." Eight years between movies and soundtracks, this album is most definitly worth waiting for.
