Out of all the Whitney Houston albums, I still keep coming back to this one. It is almost a timeless piece that soothes the soul and senses.From her pop/dance oriented tracks like How Will I Know,Thinking About You, and Someone For Me to her almost jazz like-ballads You Give Good Love and Saving All My Love For You.The production and styles are very coherent along with the sequence of tracks.The more mid tempo styling of Take Good Care of My Heart (duet w/Jermaine Jackson)is classy and reminiscent of a song by another artist named Patti Austin titled Heat of Heat.Both tunes were seductive and moving with rich string and other classical arrangements in the pop, r&b mix.While The Greatest Love of All may be a tear jerker to some and mush muzak to others it still is one of her all time powerful vocal ballads. Too bad I've seen so many talent shows, contests on t.v. over the years where you get that one Whitney Wanna Be beauty contestant who sings this very song and destroys it by going overboard with the emotional/vocal dramatics (the song begins to take on a mediocre flavor).Nobody can sing it like Whitney...
