GOOD POP

The Amazon "expert" above simply does not know the pop power of this album, nor, evidently, of its major success, with another string of sparkling singles and big, big album sales. I think the reason why is because Whitney Houston could sing, in those days, like nobody else. The ballads once again were swoon-inducing, and the upbeat follow up to How Will I Know, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, is again an infectious piece of commercial pop, timeless, really, in its sophisticated/bubblegum setting. Not Whitney's best (see her first self-titled album, and the Bodyguard) but classy, fun and engaging.
