Another misunderstood project from a master

Tweedy will always challenge his existing fans, but he'll always make new ones too. That's because he never stays the same, but still you can feel something singular in everything he puts his name on.

This album will not blow you away, at first. but how many of us were blown away by Yankee hotel foxtrot the first time? What this album does have is a variety of interesting and original songs that will leave you with a different favorite every week. to me, that's money well spent.

Plus, they're such a good band live, and it's nice to know the lyrics. Handshake Drugs, Hummingbird, and the powerfully eternal Late Greats are the obvious highs of this worthy record.
