experimental vs too experimental

I purchased the new Wilco CD keeping in mind that Yankee Hotel Foxtrot took about ten listens to fully appreciate and start to love. I have to say that it only took me three to four good run throughs to take in this album. I love most of it, though songs like spiders tend to border on complete redundancy. A little too experimental perhaps. I love track #1, the extended solo is pure genius and is a good example of experimentalism put to good use. Theologians is a solid tune. Overall I have to praise Wilco for their willingness to push the limits of their sound and work outside of "the box" so to speak. I give this album four stars.
