Wilco's AGIB: Another ditty of a "pop" gem

I first became interested in Wilco when I heard "Theologians" on the radio. When they came to Portland I wasn't interested in their music but now I wish I would have gone to see them anyway. I checked out AGIB here on borders.com but ended up buying YHF before this one. I actually am more partial to this album. Wilco's music seems more refined and I don't really miss the at times excessive "noise" on YHF. "At least That's What You Said" is a good opener and both "Muzzle of Bees" and (definitely) "Hummingbird" are very good. "Handshake Drugs" and "Wishful Thinking" are both catchy and "Company In My Back" and "Theologians" are two favorites. As for "I'm A Wheel"- I wish that track never made it onto this album but thankfully it's only 2:30 or I just hit the skip button. The first few minutes of "Less Than You Think" are good and "Late Greats" is an ok close. Despite what might still be desired towards/at the end of the album it is still worth the purchase. Yes, in some respects I can see why some might give Wilco negative reviews and it is very doubtful that the music will change the world, however it is definitely something different and worthwhile music! Very enjoyable music and I look forward to hearing more from Wilco.
