Unfortunatly, the music didn't quite click for me. The songs were second-rate efforts of Seegar. Brag didn't seem all fired up, and Wilco's never fulfilled the promise of Uncle Tupelo. If I was going to think of the problem, it might be the manufatured studio concept. These groups are all live, raw, alive artists. With their individual levels of integrity, it's like the glue just wouldn't stick.
Some of the songs will rock your world. There's enough here, scattered around through the recording, to tug at your soul. But if you were hoping for the second coming of any of the individual artists, or some new alchemy, you'll be disappointed. It's more of a hunt and peck excersize, good for making mix tapes, than listening straight through.
