The power of Woody's words is the reason to buy the cd!

I don't know, maybe I'm a Woody Guthrie purist, but I think Billy Bragg and Wilco's presentation (some say interpertation) of Woody Guthrie's Lyrics is nothing short of HIDIOUS. Except for the accoustic tracks such as "Way Over Younder", "Birds and Ships" and Ingrid Bergman", the music sounds like it was arranged by a garage band(maybe a garage band could do better, I don't know.). The real attraction of this album is the lyrics of Woody Guthie and no somphomrish attemp at musical arrangement can overpower them.
