Having recently purchased Mermaid Ave. Vol. II, I found myself missing this album more and more. Tweedy's voice is engaging and soulful throughout this masterpiece. Some might be turned off by the label of Wilco as an alt-country band-- don't be. I feel that this is perhaps the "Pet Sounds" of my generation, an amalgamation of everything that is right and beautiful in pop music. Though it might bum you, it might also lift you up. "Why I wonder is my heart full of holes?"
