Amazing! Finally an album that captures and defines the sound of "post-modernism." Tweedy and the guys have created an American classic, and should be essential listening for any serious music lover. It's pure poetry! Mixing the roots of Americana with the atmosphere of today is what this album's all about. It's a journery through a chosen soundscape. One where Jeff's melancholic grace and heartfelt vocals are laid up against an ever-changing and always evolving contemporary landscape. The band creates a complex and haunting work that's rich in atmosphere. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot roars out of the subway like a delicately beautiful humming train. It is a serious artistic masterpiece of self expression in a post-modern world. Wilco could be the next prophets of a new lost-generation. Way to go guys!
