Young Buck

Straight Outta Cashville

Good debut

Review Score: StarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStarStar (8/10)
Young Buck's album is quite a good first effort. Much of the best songs happen in the middle of the album. Every song stays on the same simple formula like the other G-Unit artists. And a lot of the songs are funky--they could score big in the clubs! I like Welcome to the South, much of the second half and others. Black Gloves had the tightest beat and how Buck rapped over the more complicated rhythm was impressive. This is better than Lloyd Banks album and equally gives his other G-Unit partner 50 Cent's own album of last year some stiff competition. It's about time that someone from Nashville broke big in the rap game, given that the city is more known for country music a lot. I hope that his debut will make more aspiring rappers break big from Nashville too!
