(10/10)RIO GRANDE MUD and TRES HOMBRES are the roots of modern hard rock. Sure, "Francine" is a weird mix of teen-pop and boogie, but the rest, especially "Just Got Paid", is pure blues-rock heaven. Play this up against any so-called metal album, and you'll find that RIO GRANDE MUD did more for rock & roll than the entire catalogs of Poison, Warrant, Motley Crue, and all the other "hair bands" combined.
