Tejas!! Is a very good album. Very Good!! Includes alot of Great material."It's only love","Arrested For Driving While Blind","El Diablo","Avalon Hideway","She's A Heartbreaker","Enjoy And Get It On","Asleep In The Desert" etc. All of which give us that true ZZ Top sound. Trademark vocals,guitars and drumming. Tejas is an obvious studio album with many overdubs. Listen close and you can hear extra added guitar parts,drum parts and some fiddle/harmonica too. This recording technique gives the music a much deeper fuller sound. Please take note!! some reveiwers disliked the added echo effects used in the mixing of the drum parts. It is true that this recording was altered during the process of going from vinyl to cd. But in my opinion it does not effect the sound quality of this album. In fact, all the original drum parts are still there to be heard even though some echo effects were added. It is a matter of training your ears to seperate musical parts and to listen closely. ZZ Top's Tejas really showcases how well these guys play together as a trio. They know how to listen to each others parts and use there own individual musicianship to enhance the overall sound. Final thoughts: A very good ZZ Top album. Gritty blues rock vocals,powerful yet tasteful guitar riffs and creative drumming. A Trio of solid Texas Rock!! "Enjoy"
